In celebration of #BlackHistoryMonth, FHCA is proud to honor Tia George, administrator at Heartland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Boynton Beach. Heartland is a 120-bed facility that has emerged as a beacon of excellence in providing superior Alzheimer’s care.
Tia is a 2024 class member of FHCA’s Florida Leaders program with over 10 years of experience in long term care. She is known for her expertise in executing patient-centered care and is highly specialized in healthcare operations, strategic planning and motivating and leading multidisciplinary teams to accomplish mutual goals. Tia uses her experience to lead a successful team of professionals while ensuring her residents receive the highest quality of care. Her passion for the residents with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease and their families is what gets her up in the morning.
Tia graduated from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Management with a concentration in long term care. She also earned a Master’s of Health Administration from Capella University. When she’s not at Heartland, Tia loves spending time with family.
