Miranda Lee began her career in a multilevel care facility, allowing her to gain dietary experience across the full continuum of care. Inspired by her supervisor, Miranda was encouraged to pursue a career as a Certified Dietary Manager. “She taught me that food is good for the soul, an ideal I still wholeheartedly believe and instill in my culinary team managers,” she said.
As the Director of Culinary Services at Palm Garden of Jacksonville, Miranda is extremely passionate about her field and draws motivation from her residents. “My favorite part of working in culinary services is the residents,” she stated. “You learn everything there is to know about your residents and give every day to making their time here meaningful.”
Miranda’s pride in quality service can be seen in all aspects of her work, especially working alongside her team. She shared that seeing residents being positively impacted is what’s most rewarding about a career in long term care and reinforces her decision to work in the field.
