Jason Denis understands the importance of making personal connections and having strong listening skills. The connections and experience he gained in the early stages of his healthcare career led him to his current path as a Social Services Director at Magnolia Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Gainesville. Jason is an avid learner, and his pursuit of higher education and a specialization in gerontology has enriched the work he does to support his residents.
On a daily basis, Jason is helping residents and their families with accessing resources to enhance their care and quality of life at Magnolia Ridge. He serves as a bridge between the residents and the entire care team, helping to advocate for their needs and providing support when those needs change. The end goal is always the best outcome for residents.
While working in social services in the field of long term care profession can sometimes be challenging, Jason shares he’s proud of the impact he’s making for the senior population. It takes empathy and advocacy, constant learning and providing support, and that is the part about long term care that he loves most.
“This is a career of personal connections, so if that appeals to you then you’re on the right path,” said Jason. “The need for long term care keeps growing, and social workers will always have an important role to listen, guide, and support our residents and their loved ones.”
