FHCA is pleased to announce that Clinton Slier of Integrity Health Care Systems will now serve as the Association’s Life Safety Consultant. In this role, Integrity Health Care Systems will provide expertise on physical plant and life safety issues and respond to members with related inquiries. Clinton is an NFPA Certified Life Safety Specialist for Health Care and a certified health care safety professional. Clinton and his team will monitor proposed changes to state and national codes and standards and assist FHCA with comments on proposed rules that impact the physical plants of nursing centers.

About Clinton Slier
Clinton Slier is the lead life safety and environmental compliance advisor for Integrity Health Care Systems. With more than 10 years’ experience in healthcare facilities management and environment of care operations, he works with long-term care organizations nationwide on pre-survey preparation and on-going interpretation and compliance with the federal and state regulatory rules, codes, and standards.
Clinton holds a Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) certification from the International Board for Certification of Safety Managers, as well as a Certified Health Safety Professional for Health Care (CLSS-HC) certification from the NFPA (National Fire Protection Association).
His areas of focus include the NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, NFPA 99 Health Care Facilities Code, NFPA 25 and NFPA 13 for Sprinkler System standards, NFPA 110 for Emergency Power Systems, NFPA 70 for Electrical Codes, NFPA 72 for Fire Alarm Codes, NFPA 96 for Commercial Kitchen Standards, NFPA 80 and 105 for compliant Fire and Smoke Door inspections, NFPA 10 for Fire Extinguisher Standards, OSHA regulations.
Clinton also develops disaster preparedness documentation, water systems management plans and Legionella prevention programs. He regularly trains in-house maintenance teams on mitigation practices and prevention programs.
He holds a bachelor of science degree from Florida State University.
