The Florida Health Care Association (FHCA) honored Stephen Lomonico of Trinity, FL, President and Owner at Thrive Behavioral Sciences, with this year’s Willis J. Gregson Associate Member of the Year award at the 2024 Annual Conference & Trade Show in Orlando, Florida.

The Willis J. Gregson Award was created to honor the memory and contributions of an outstanding FHCA associate member, the late Willis J. Gregson. It is presented each year to a Florida Health Care Association associate member who demonstrates a commitment level of service to FHCA members which goes “above and beyond.”
Lomonico has been actively involved with FHCA for more than 15 years. He previously served as a nursing home administrator, where he led his facilities to achieve five-star ratings, successful surveys, and positive care outcomes for residents.
“Stephen has generously given his talent and expertise to help strengthen FHCA’s education and the resources made available to members,” said FHCA CEO Emmett Reed. “He is an avid sponsor of FHCA events and trainings, along with our annual golf tournament which raises funds for caregiver scholarships. We are so grateful for his dedication to our members and the residents entrusted to their care.”
Lomonico is a member of the FHCA Board of Directors and serves on numerous FHCA committees. His support has helped to enhance opportunities and facilitate connections among FHCA members and business partners, giving long-term care facilities across the state the tools and resources to provide residents with quality care.
The Willis J. Gregson Award is part of FHCA’s annual Long Term Care Achievement Awards which honor the exemplary contributions of long-term care leaders and volunteers who daily demonstrate commitment to quality care through their dedication to residents, staff, and the long-term care profession. Awards are presented during the FHCA Annual Conference & Trade Show.
