This National Nurses Week, May 6 through the 12th, the Florida Health Care Association recognizes nurses who have taken strides to improve the long term care community through their work. Cindy Cooley, a LPN and Unit Manager from Port Charlotte Rehabilitation Center, serves as an example for the community through her dedication to service and commitment to excellence as a nurse. Touched by the acts of care displayed by Cindy’s interactions with her parents, the daughter of residents in Cindy’s care reached out to share her personal story.
“Cindy has gone far above and beyond what anyone would expect. She not only provided me with her personal cell phone number and responded to my calls outside of regular working hours, but she also volunteered to pick up a cake and arrange a special lunch in honor of my parents’ 72nd anniversary!”
Cindy’s compassion and attention to detail in her job is something the Florida Health Care Association celebrates during National Nurses Week. Thank you, Cindy, for being an excellent nurse and leader!
