Vernon Zeger has been involved in the health care profession for over 24 years and brings extensive experience operating Skilled Nursing Facilities. Most recently, he was the Director of Operations for a large not-for-profit organization and was responsible to oversee operations of skilled nursing centers, assisted living facilities and independent living facilities throughout Central Florida. After almost 12 years of serving his prior organization in multiple capacities, he is very excited to join the team at Adventist Care Centers.
Vernon received a Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration from the University of South Florida with a minor in Business Administration, and is currently completing a Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration. He is a licensed Nursing Home Administrator and licensed Risk Manager. He also serves as a sitting Board member of several committees and organizations which include a large local nursing school, as well as the FHCA Region III V.P. and Vice Chair of the FHCA Finance Committee, to name a few.
Growing up in a military family, Vernon lived in many places across the United States, but Florida has been his home since 1991. He and his wife, Ashley, have been together for over 24 years and are enjoying their new season of empty-nest living. Their son, Justin, is currently completing a Master’s degree in Australia. As a seasoned operator in the state of Florida, Vernon is passionate about caring for the aging population and advocating for integrity within the industry. His goal as the Director of Operations for Adventist Care Centers, is to carry on the organization’s mission by elevating customer service, building communications between team members & residents and growing relationships with those we serve.
